Privacy Policy
This policy explains the categories of data Poolometer may handle, how that data may be used, and the choices available to users.
Data We Handle
Poolometer may handle information you choose to enter, including pool names, pool chemistry logs, maintenance notes, pool pass details, account profile information, feedback submissions, and backup or import files. If you use account, sync, or support features, Poolometer may also handle account identifiers, synchronized records, device and app metadata, support communications, and service-side logs associated with those features.
Local-First Operation
Poolometer is built to work on-device first. Many features can be used without creating an account, and local device storage may hold your pool data, settings, cached passes, and offline content so the app can continue working without an active network connection. Local-first operation does not mean every feature is available offline or that local data will always remain recoverable.
How Data Is Used
Poolometer uses data to provide app functionality, save your logs and settings, synchronize optional accounts, generate exports and backups, diagnose issues, secure the service, enforce abuse and integrity controls, and improve the product. Poolometer may also use limited first-party analytics, diagnostics, and operational telemetry that we operate ourselves to understand reliability, performance, and feature usage.
When Data Leaves Your Device
Data may leave your device when you use cloud-backed or networked features, including account login, sync, support, feedback, import, export, backup, restore, diagnostics, or analytics. Hosting, infrastructure, and security providers may process data on our behalf to operate, deliver, and protect the service.
Data Retention and Control
Local data remains on your device until you delete it, uninstall the app, reset data, or overwrite it through imports or restores. For account-backed data, records may remain on our systems until deleted, deactivated, or no longer needed for legitimate operational, legal, or security purposes. Retention periods may vary, and deleted or replaced data may persist temporarily in backups, logs, or recovery media. You can also use backup, export, and deletion tools in the app to manage your records.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and operational measures to protect data, but no storage or transmission system is guaranteed to be perfectly secure. You are responsible for the security of your device, your account credentials, and any exported files you choose to store or share.
Children
Poolometer is not intended for children to independently create accounts or submit personal information. If you believe personal information was provided to Poolometer inappropriately, contact support and request review or deletion.
